The country's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and encountered disruption to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets targeted the country's power systems, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were striving to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were injured.

The attacks succeed nights of aerial attacks in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
